Rotary Club of Penal’s 8th Interact Club: Asja Girls’ College Barrackpore Interact Club
As part of the Rotary Club of Penal’s Strategic Plan, a key objective is the establishment of one new Interact Club each year through 2028. In keeping with this goal, the Rotary Club of Penal initiated discussions with ASJA Girls’ College Barrackpore to form an Interact Club.
Following the identification of a teacher coordinator, an application was submitted to Rotary International, and the Interact Club was officially registered on October 31, 2025 and the formal chartering ceremony was held on Monday, January 26, 2026.
At the ceremony, eleven (11) Executive Members were installed, comprising the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Public Relations Officer, and six (6) Committee Members. Each executive received an Interact pin, marking their official induction into service. Since its chartering, the ASJA Girls’ College Barrackpore Interact Club has already begun engaging in meaningful projects, with a particular focus on supporting primary schools within the surrounding community.
ASJA Girls’ College, Barrackpore proudly joins the Rotary Club of Penal’s family as its eighth sponsored Interact Club, further strengthening the Club’s commitment to youth development and community service.
